Scott Hedrick, President and CEO of Scott Hedrick Construction
Inc.
Scott Hedrick
took full reigns of the company upon the retirement of his
father Win Hedrick in 1982. Since then Scott has expanded the
company to include work in 3 states and a gross sales of between
$30 and $40 million annually. Scott is an active member of the
Idaho AGC and serves on the board of directors for the AGC and
also chairs the safety committee. He is involved in furthering
the safety of all construction projects in the State of Idaho
and has been an inspiration to bring OSHA education and
construction safety classes to the fast growing Tamarack Ski
Resort located in Donnelly Idaho which involves some 900
construction workers annually.
Scott has been
responsible to have his company achieve a partnership with OSHA
for safety. This requires a high level of commitment by the
management of the company and its subsequent field personnel and
staff.
Scott
personally manages all of the companies high-end residential projects. Homes
are valued between $900,000 and $2,400,000 on average.
Scott is also
involved as a board member of the RMB (registered master
builders) of Idaho. He serves on the Boise State University
Athletic Board and also on the Idaho Sub-Contractor’s Bid
Service as a board member for the past 14 years.
Scott’s
commitment is to provide one to one contractor involvement with
the owner in planning, budget discussions, and project
completion. Several of Scott Hedrick Construction’s clients are
repeat clients who have had multiple projects built by Scott.
Mike Burden, Vice President of Scott Hedrick Construction Inc.
Mike has been
with Hedrick Construction for the last 14 years. He started as a
field superintendent and quickly moved into management and is
currently the vice president of the firm. Mike brings 30 years
of construction experience where he has been in charge of
numerous schools, prison projects, assisted living and office
buildings. He serves not only as a project manager but as an estimator, providing turnkey services to our owners. Mike has been responsible for the management of the new $12 million dollar Kuna High School.
Mike provides
preliminary budgets, project bidding and estimates, project
management and contract administration. He is familiar with the
necessary evaluation of subcontractors and monitors their pay
applications and bonding requirements. Mike proves instrumental
in the closeout of jobs, doing as-builts, O and M’s, and
extensive punch list and warranty procedures. Projects include
Kuna High School, Kuna Elementary School, LDS Roosevelt Stake
Center, Avest Storage Facilities, St. Mary’s office complex,
Canyon County Work Release Center, Tamarack 21 residential
chalets, State of Idaho 194-bed minimum security dormitory.
Mike has under
his direct control 5-6 superintendents.
Tim Barrett, Chief Project Manager
Tim has been
with Hedrick Construction since 1999. He has been instrumental
in the tracking of multi-phased and detailed projects.
Projects
include the Manchester Ice Rink, Sanitary Services Inc., Hunt
Lodge and Hotel, Comfort Suites Motel, Holiday Inn Motel, Canyon
County Humane Shelter, Hotel McCall, North Fork Lodge, Tamarack
Discovery Village, Tamarack site lighting, Tamarack
communications center, and State of Idaho 911 dispatch center.
Tim brings to
the company prior years of commercial hardware and estimating
experience. He has strong communication skills and documents his
information and costs with detail unmatched by others. Tim has
directly under his supervision 4 superintendents.
Tim has been responsible to provide budgets and project management for the company’s fast growing development of hotels and motels. The company has built at least 9 motels for Holiday Inn, Inn America, Comfort Suites, and Hotel McCall. Planned projects include 3 new motels in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
Vicki Sorensen,
CFO (Chief Financial Officer and Office Manager)
Vicki has been
with the company working for Win and Scott Hedrick partnership
since 1976 and made the transition to Scott Hedrick Construction
in 1982. Vicki provides all accounting records including detailed
budgets, cost accounting, payroll, job costing and subcontractor
job reconciliation.
Vicki has
mastered the company’s job cost software in order to insure that
our projects
are kept current, accurate and up to date. Detailed AIA-702
billing formats are followed, and adequate lien waivers,
supplier lien waivers and documentation to accompany the pay
requests are used. Vicki was directly in charge in 2004 for the
billing of 64 separate company projects.
Sally Neilson, Office Coordinator
Sally has been with Scott Hedrick Construction for the past 6 years as the office coordinator. She is
responsible for all insurance tracking of subs and suppliers.
She is in charge of contracts being written, signed and
implemented. This includes the duty of confirming subcontractor
insurance compliance, detailed lien waivers, sales tax
compliance and distribution of bid documents. Sally brings an
essential element to Hedrick Construction in her tenacious
business practices to make certain all paper work items are
correct and in order.
Gayla Reeder, IT Coordinator and Personnel Director
Gayla has been with Hedrick for the past 2 1/2 years. Gayla is in charge of all computer updates and issues. She assists with plan distribution, submittals, addendum acknowledgements and project billings. Gayla is in charge updating of all project files. She is our day to day backup contact for both e-mail and phone communication and is in charge of updating all project files.
Gayla brings with her an extensive background of prior employment of working with a soils and civil engineer. Gayla provides direct assistance to Mike Burden and Tim Barrett in daily distribution of submittals and as-builts.
